Terms of Use

Preamble
The present document defines the terms of use of the services provided through the search engine and the website located at the internet address www.acropoliscleaners.com (hereinafter the “Website”) by the company ATMOKATHARISTIRIO ZACHARIAS IRAKLEOUS AND SONS LTD with registration number HE 82483 and its registered office at 7 Filoktiti Street, 7101 Aradippou, Larnaca (hereinafter the “Company”), with Tax Identification Number 12082483Q and VAT number 10082483O.
Lawful use of the provided services shall mean the unconditional acceptance of the terms of the present and your compliance, during the use of these services, with the applicable legislation of the Republic of Cyprus governing such transactions. Acceptance of the terms of the present does not in any case constitute the conclusion of any form or relationship of employment, cooperation, or partnership with the Company.
The Company does not guarantee hereby the continuous, uninterrupted, and secure access to the services of the Website as its operation may be affected by external factors beyond control.
The operation of certain services on the Website is governed by supplementary terms, which, where applicable, have been published here and which constitute an integral part of the present.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes the way in which the Company manages the data of the users of its services. As described in the Privacy Policy, the collection and further processing of such data is necessary both in the context of using the services provided by the Company, as well as for other lawful purposes which are analyzed in our Privacy Policy.
The management and protection of the personal data of the visitor, the user, and the members of the Website are governed by these terms, the Privacy Policy, as well as the relevant provisions of Cypriot and European legislation. In any case, the Company reserves the right to change the terms of protection of personal data, within the framework of the applicable legislation.
The Website also uses small text files (cookies), the function and purposes of which are described in detail in our Cookie Policy.
The Website does not in any case delete the personal data of members even if they are members who have been prohibited from using its services. Permanent deletion from the Website’s database can only be done in cases where the member itself wishes and under the condition of maintaining the principle of transaction security, in order to ensure the reliability of the system. Members who wish to be informed about their personal data kept by the Website, for their permanent deletion from the Website’s database, or to exercise any of their rights provided by law, according also to the Privacy Policy, must submit a relevant request by sending an email to marketing@acropoliscleaners.com through the email with which they registered on the Website, including their full name and their telephone number, which must match the details registered in the Website’s database, for identification purposes.
Access to the Website and Membership Registration
A prerequisite for the participation of users and registered members of the Website and the use of the Company’s services is the acceptance of these Terms of Use, which have been established according to the applicable law of the Republic of Cyprus. In case of violation of any of these terms, the Company reserves the right to block users or delete members of the Website at any time.
The user may register as a member of the Website by entering and confirming his/her email address and choosing a password.
The information that users provide to the Company or to other members, either during member registration or when posting on the forum of the Website, is defined as “personal data and information.” The personal data and information must meet the following conditions:

They must not be false, inaccurate, or misleading.

They must not directly or indirectly lead to deception of third parties or aim at the sale of items, the disposal of which is contrary to applicable law.

They must not contravene the provisions of the applicable Cypriot and European legislation, including provisions relating to export, consumer protection, unfair competition, discrimination or misleading advertising, protection of intellectual or industrial property, trade secrets, or personality rights.

They must not contain viruses, trojans, worms, time bombs, or cancel bots or any other program code that may cause intentional damage or data loss both to members’/visitors’ computers and to the system in general, nor should they lead to loss of resources, services, or functions of the Website or the Company in whole or in part that relate to service providers or other partners.

They must not directly or indirectly refer to products or services expressly prohibited by the present.
For the proper use of the information provided by users to the Company and to avoid possible violations related to the content of this information, we monitor and further process this information. The Company undertakes to process this information in accordance with these Terms of Use.
Access to and use of the services of the Website must be in accordance with these Terms of Use. The use of any method of monitoring the Website or copying part or all of its operating mechanism or its content without the prior written permission of the Company is prohibited. In particular, the use of any program or other method of interfering with the operating mechanism of the Website or with any entry contained in it is prohibited. Also, any action that burdens or abusively uses the search engine of the Website and its technological infrastructure is prohibited. It is noted that a large part of the content of the Website belongs to members or partners of the Company and is used with permission. Therefore, copying, modifying, paraphrasing, or republishing the content of the Website without the prior written permission of the Company is prohibited.
The Company reserves the right to prohibit temporarily or permanently the use of its services to any user of the Website who, at the Company’s absolute discretion, does not comply with these Terms of Use or the applicable law. The Company may exercise this right in cases of abusive or offensive expressions by the user towards the Company’s employees, provision of incorrect registration information, or unauthorized use of payment methods. If the use of the services of the Website is suspended or prohibited to a member, re-registration or use of the services of the Website is not allowed without the prior written consent of the Company.
Operation of Service
The information that the Website transmits to its users regarding the products displayed on it by thematic category is purely informative in nature and purpose, and is updated and modified continuously with a maximum update frequency of 2 hours (at the store’s choice) or 24 hours in any other case. The Company shall in no case be liable for any compensation or remedy of any direct or indirect loss, whether actual or consequential, including future loss, caused as a result of such information.
The Website also provides direct access to other websites and/or electronic addresses (where applicable), the content of which it cannot intervene in and therefore, naturally, bears no responsibility whatsoever, nor provides any guarantee at all regarding their content. Furthermore, the Website bears no responsibility as to the accuracy and correctness of the above-mentioned transmitted information as this is information found on other websites and which is collected either from the manufacturers of these products or as information transmitted from the online stores that offer them for sale.
The Company advises users of the Website to also consult the relevant product pages of the online stores as well as those of the manufacturers in order to verify the accuracy of the information obtained from the result and to be further informed regarding the characteristics of the product of their choice.
The appearance of search results (product – price – store) depends on the correct use of keywords as well as on the description of the product by the online stores and the Website. In searches carried out using filters and not keywords, users must compare the characteristics of the products shown with those mentioned in the online stores and the manufacturers’ product pages.
It is noted that many products offered either by foreign stores or by domestic stores that trade in imported products may differ in characteristics from those intended for the Cypriot market, and in some cases may not be accompanied by user instructions in Greek or by Greek software.
It is clarified that the services provided by the Company to the users involve a significant technological, organizational, and other business cost for the Company. However, the Company has chosen not to pass this cost on to users, but to the stores (where applicable), according to specific, as fair as possible, calculations of commission based on visits or purchases made by users at the online stores following referral from the Website (where applicable). The correct and accurate calculation of the above commission constitutes a necessary economic element of the use of the Company’s services by the users, within the contractual relationship created between the Company and the users by the use of these services, in accordance with the present terms and conditions. For this purpose, it is necessary, in order to serve this transactional relationship and according to the provisions of our contract, for the Company to collect purchase data from the users’ browsing activity on the Website and in cooperating stores, including through technological solutions such as cookies.
Product Reviews
The Company provides users with the possibility to review products displayed on the Website, using text, rating, and/or by uploading photos and/or videos. In order to be able to review a product, users must be registered on the Website.
The Company takes control measures to ensure that the reviews displayed on the Website come from users who have indeed purchased a product. For this purpose, reviews that will be published on the Website must necessarily, whether negative or positive, concern a transaction from a user who has previously purchased the product. For reasons of safeguarding the reliability of the reviews submitted by users and concerning products displayed through the Website, the Company and the administrators of the Website reserve the right to request further information from the user to confirm that the review indeed comes from a confirmed product purchase. If for any reason and for as long as a review cannot be matched to a confirmed purchase, that review shall be published, but will not be counted in the average rating of the respective product. It is noted that the above procedure for safeguarding the origin of users’ reviews is independent of the procedure of managing the content of the review.
Each user has the right to review each product only once (1) per transaction.
By submitting text and/or by uploading photos and/or videos on the Website, the member grants the Company a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to use the material, in order to reproduce, modify, and publish the text, photo, and/or video submitted on the Website. At the same time, by submitting text and/or uploading photos and/or videos, the member consents to technical processing and formatting (e.g., cropping or use of “blur” techniques) of the photo and/or video and to any other type of modification of the text prior to its publication, by the administrators of the Website, in case the photo, video, and/or review text violates the content posting rules set out below. In the event that such processing, formatting, or modification takes place, the Company shall make the necessary changes with the aim of immediate publication of the review and subsequently inform the member of the actions it has taken, taking every care to preserve as much as possible the essence of the review. Similarly, the above granting of a license to the Company and consent to any type of technical processing, formatting, or other modification also applies in the case of any other image submitted by the member on the Website.
The text of product reviews may briefly describe the member’s experience with the specific product and any comments or evaluative judgments about the product. The content of the review, the photos and/or the video accompanying it must constitute intellectual property of the member and must in no case infringe the personal data of third parties, nor intellectual or other rights of third parties. Members bear the sole responsibility for the content, photos, and videos they submit for posting on the Website. The Company reserves the right to withdraw and delete content/photos/videos that do not comply with the Terms of Use.
Specifically, the text of product reviews must not include:

Publishing of a link directing immediately or indirectly users to an online store (whether or not it is a partner store).

Any reference to a store (whether or not it is a partner store).

Reference to the order fulfillment process and/or its delivery (whether or not it is an order placed via the Website).

Publication of information concerning promotion or commercial advertising of any third party, except for lawful promotional actions organized and supervised by the administrators of the Website and the Company.

Publication of information concerning commercial advertising of any third party or a transaction between members or between members and third parties.
-
Reference to another user or to another member’s product review.
-
Inappropriate or ironic expressions and characterizations.
-
Content referring directly or indirectly to software piracy.

Attributing fraudulent intent to stores.

Any content not related to the review or the product.
Furthermore, in the case of uploading photos and/or videos accompanying product reviews, it is not permitted to:

Depict identifiable persons or other elements that may be considered as personal data of the user or others.

Include pornographic material.
-
Promote violence.
-
Encourage or facilitate the commission of criminal acts.
-
Offend public decency (e.g., nudity, obscene gestures).
-
Depict a different product from the one being reviewed.
-
Pursue indirect advertising of other products shown in the photo and/or video.
-
Reveal political, religious, etc. beliefs or other personal data.
-
Include any content which, at the sole discretion of the Company, is unrelated to the review or the product.
In particular, in the case of uploading a video by a user in order to present in more detail aspects of a product in his/her possession to other users, the content of the video must focus exclusively on one product (and/or related products), on recording the user’s experience with it, as well as on any comments, usage tips, or evaluative judgments regarding the product.
It is noted that reviews bearing the special indication “Verified Purchase” allow users to easily identify reviews posted by other users who have indeed purchased or used the product according to the Company’s internal controls. Reviews not bearing the indication “Verified Purchase” concern reviews that we cannot confirm originate from a purchase or actual use of the product by the reviewing user.
In any case, it is noted that for calculating the average rating of each product only reviews that come from a verified purchase, whether positive or negative, are taken into account.
Final Provisions
The intellectual property rights of the Website belong to the Company. It is prohibited to republish, reproduce, wholly, partially, in summary, by paraphrase or adaptation, the content of the Website in any way, electronic, mechanical, or photocopying, without prior written permission.
In no case shall the Company, its legal representatives, or its employees be liable for any damage, direct or indirect, that members may suffer as a result of the use of the services provided, arising directly or indirectly from actions or omissions of third-party members.
In the event that any dispute arises between members of the Website, concerning the use of the services in violation of the terms of the present, it is agreed that the Company, its staff, and its partners bear no responsibility.
The services provided through the Website, including simple search or creation of a member account, are not addressed to persons under 18 years of age. If you are under 18, you must not use the Website or provide us with any personal data without the necessary authorization of a parent or guardian. The Company does not knowingly collect or further process data for individuals under 18 years of age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided personal data to the Company, please contact us at marketing@acropoliscleaners.com.
In any case, for any dispute that arises between the Company and the visitors or members of the Website, the competent courts shall be those of the Republic of Cyprus and the applicable law shall also be that of the Republic of Cyprus.
Shipping & Delivery Policy

Order Tracking
You can track the progress of your order from your account. To see the stage your order is in:

Log in to your account on the Website.

Click on your account icon and select “Orders.”

Click “Details” on the order you are interested in.

For each shipment of your order, the stage it is in will be indicated.
Change of Delivery Day and Time of the Shipment
For shipments handled by the courier G.A.P. AKIS Express, you can change the delivery day and time from within your order.
To proceed with a change of delivery day and time:
-
Log in to your account on the Website.
-
Click on your account icon and select “Orders.”
-
Click “Details” on the order you are interested in.
-
Click “Change or cancel shipment” above the shipment.
-
Select from the options that will appear “Change day/time of delivery.”
-
Choose the day and time that suits you and click “Save.”

Once the change is completed, the courier will be automatically informed to deliver the parcel at the chosen day and time.
Partner courier companies deliver daily between 09:00–19:00 and the delivery time depends on the volume of orders and the routes per area.
Important notes:

The option to change day and time appears only if the courier has scheduled the parcel for delivery.
-
The first available date you can choose (where applicable) is the next working day from the one originally scheduled.
-
The available time slots you can choose from are: 09:00–19:00 (all day), 09:00–13:00, 12:00–16:00, 15:00–19:00.
Order Collection
Home Delivery
You can receive your order at any address you choose, all over Cyprus, through the courier companies we cooperate with. You can also collect the products you want directly from the physical stores of our Company throughout Cyprus.
Home delivery
To receive your order at your home or workplace, you will need to add the products you want to your cart and proceed to the step “Where do you want the order to be shipped?”
At this step, you can choose one of your already registered addresses or add a new one, by selecting “At a new address.”
If you are in a remote area and there is no exact address for the place you want the delivery, we suggest that you add a nearby main street and write useful information in the “Notes,” which will help the courier company locate you. You can also add an alternative phone number, as our partners may need to call you to arrange the delivery.
Collection from the Company’s physical stores
The service of collecting directly from our stores is available in all our stores across Cyprus. If you choose to collect from the store, you will see its exact address, opening hours, and you will need to fill in the recipient’s full name and phone number. Once the order is ready at the store, you will receive an email notification and you will have 96 hours (4 days) to collect it. For your best service, we suggest you check the store’s opening hours before you come, and bring your order code with you, which will be required for collection.
Important notes:

If you do not collect your order within 4 days from receiving the notification email, the order will be automatically canceled, and we will proceed with a refund.

The service is available only for online payment. Cash on delivery is not available.
-
If you want to return the order, you will need to submit a return request.
Delivery Date
The delivery date of your order depends on the availability of the products you have purchased. You can see the estimated delivery date before placing the order, in your cart, above the payment details.
After placing the order, in your account under the order details:

Log in to your account.

Click on your account icon and select “Orders.”

Click “Details” on the order you are interested in.
-
For each shipment of your order, the estimated delivery date will be indicated.
Important note:
In case of delays in the delivery of your order, a relevant notification message will appear in your “Orders” and the exact reason for the delay will appear in the “Details” of your order. In addition, you will also receive an informative email.
Change of Shipping Address of the Order
You can change the shipping address and contact phone number of your order depending on the stage it is in.
Select the section corresponding to your order’s stage to find more information about changing the shipping details:

Log in to your account.

Click on your account icon and select “Orders.”

Click “Details” on the order you are interested in.

At the top of the page, select “Change or cancel order.”

Then select “Change address.”
-
Choose the new shipping address or enter the new contact phone number.

Click “Apply.”
Change of details at the stage “Delivered to the courier”
If your order is at the stage “Delivered to the courier,” the option “Change address” & “Change delivery day/time” must be made in consultation with the courier, or to change the delivery details you may cancel the order and place it again with the correct details. After the change, your parcel will be rescheduled for delivery the next day at the address you selected.
Through “Settings” in your account, you can change your details so that they are used correctly in future orders.

Confirmation of New Order
You can confirm that your new order has been successfully placed through your account on the Website.
To see your orders:

Log in to your account.

Click on your account icon.
-
Select “Orders.”
In addition, upon completion of your purchase, you will receive an informative email with the unique order code, within the next five minutes.
Once your order is placed, you can track its progress from your account.
If your order does not appear in your account, you may have logged in with a different email or not completed the purchase.
Order Stages
You can see the stage your order is in from the page “Orders” → “Details” in your account. The order stages are:

Processing
The store has been notified of the order, and we are waiting for its acceptance. The estimated delivery date is shown in the order details. -
Pending dispatch
The store has accepted the order and is preparing it. At this stage, in addition to the estimated delivery date, you can also see the courier company that has undertaken the delivery of your order. -
Delivered to the courier
The order has been delivered by the store to the courier company. At this stage, the tracking number will also be activated, allowing you to track the delivery progress also from the courier’s system.
The stages followed by most partner courier companies for delivery are as follows:

Receipt of the parcel from the store.

Delivery of the parcel to a Sorting Center.

Loading onto a delivery route.

Delivery to the shipping address.

Completed
Your order has been delivered.
Non-Collection & Limitation of Liability
The company Acropolis Dry Cleaners guarantees the timely shipment of the order based on the details entered by the customer.
In the event that the order is not collected by the customer within four (4) days of the relevant pickup notification (whether concerning store pickup or home delivery), the order is automatically canceled and returned to the store.
The company bears no responsibility for delays, losses, or damage to products caused by customer negligence (e.g., failure to collect).
Any reshipment of the order will be made only by arrangement and with an additional charge of shipping costs.
Returns Policy

Withdrawal & Product Returns
If you wish to return the product you received because it is defective, incorrect, or if you simply changed your mind, you can submit a return request easily and quickly through your account on the Website without any additional charge.
To return something you purchased on the Website, you can fill out the return request form, which you will find in your account, under the relevant order that includes the product you wish to return. You can see step by step how to submit a return request in the article “How do I submit a return request.”
When you complete and submit the return form, the Website team will process your request and send you an email with all the necessary information to complete the process.
Withdrawal
You have the right to return products purchased through the Website’s Cart within 14 days from the date of their receipt. If the order was placed by a natural person (without requesting the issue of an invoice), then you are entitled to exercise the right of withdrawal within 14 calendar days from delivery of the product, requesting a refund at the following contact details:

In case of return, we will proceed with the refund, but with a charge for the return and reshipment of the products.
Some products you purchased may belong to a category for which returns are not allowed for health protection reasons.
Delivery of Wrong or Incomplete Product
In the case that the product we sent you is different from the one you ordered, or if some part or accessory is missing, you can return it by selecting “This is not what I ordered” in the return form.
Products Damaged During Transport
If you receive a product damaged during transport, you may refuse to accept it from the courier company and contact us via the contact page so that we can immediately provide compensation or send a replacement product.
If you discover it upon opening the package, you can select “It is defective” in the return form, attach photos of the damage, and write in the comments the indication “Damaged during transport” or something similar, so that we can refund your money or replace the product.
Defective Product
If a product you purchased presents a defect, you have the right to return it in accordance with the applicable legislation.
To process your return request as quickly as possible, it is advisable to photograph the product you wish to return. Ensure that the photos you upload in the return form clearly show the defect, if visible. Describe the problem so that the Website team has a full picture of the fault. We will process your request and send you an email about its progress and all the necessary information to complete the process.
If a product you purchased belongs to a category for which returns are not allowed for health protection reasons and it is defective, please contact us via the contact page so we can assist you with the steps to follow.
Refunds & Replacement
For returns due to withdrawal, the refund or replacement process begins immediately, with the delivery of the parcel for return to the courier company. Returns concerning defective products go through a technical inspection process before we proceed with compensation, to confirm the reason for the return and verify that the fault arises from a manufacturing defect and not from misuse. Note that some products may need to be checked by a specialist technician at an authorized service center, and this may require a longer period before the refund or replacement is approved.
Once the process is completed, we will proceed with what you selected in the return form.

If you selected a refund and the payment of your order was made by credit or debit card, we will refund the amount you paid for that purchase to the credit or debit card you used for that order. Your money is released by us immediately, but there may be further delays of up to 10 business days for the banks to clear the amount. The refund may appear in your account either as a reversal, cancellation of the payment order of your order, or as a deposit from the Company.

If you used a credit or debit card for payment, we will refund the amount you paid for that purchase in relation to the part of the transaction paid by card.
⚠️ Note that, according to the applicable law, you may not be refunded the full amount you paid if you have used the product more than necessary to determine its nature, characteristics, and functioning.

If your order was paid by cash on delivery, you must provide us with your bank account details, specifically: IBAN number, bank name, beneficiary’s full name (which must match the person who received and paid for the order), and some proof (e.g., photo of the first page of the passbook or a screenshot from online banking showing your name) that the account belongs to you. If you do not have a bank account in which you appear as the main beneficiary, you must also upload in the return form a signed declaration stating that you wish your money to be deposited into a third party’s account. ⚠️ Note that the cash-on-delivery cost per shipment is not refunded.

If you selected replacement, we will send a new product to your address at our expense.

If a commercial warranty is provided, for some product categories it may be possible to choose repair. If you select this in the return form, we will inform you by email about the procedure.

For returns due to delivery of the wrong product, we will either replace the incorrect product with the correct one or refund the purchase price.
Time Frame for Product Returns
In cases of withdrawal or delivery of the wrong product, the return request must be submitted within 14 days from receipt of the product. After this period, the return cannot be accepted.
Products that have shown a fault can be returned within the time frame set by their legal or commercial warranty (where applicable).
Proof of Purchase
In order to return a defective product, you must keep the proof of purchase.

If you have received an invoice, you must issue a delivery note and include it in the package. The store will send you a credit invoice once it receives the products.
Preparation Instructions & Conditions for Accepting the Return
To accept your return, the following must apply:

The product must be properly packaged in a durable box. Preferably use the original packaging. If you don’t have it, choose packaging that will protect the product from any damage during transport. If the product is already in a box, then add wrapping or a bag so that the shipping voucher is not placed directly on the original box.

In case of return of a defective product, the package must include the retail receipt or the delivery note/return note if the purchase was made with an invoice.
In the case of withdrawal or return of an unused product, you must additionally ensure that:

The product is in its original condition, with all accessories and manuals that accompany it. Specifically, it must be in its original condition and the special markings (e.g., protective films, tags, labels) must not have been removed.

The packaging must be the original and in excellent condition. We cannot accept returns of products with damaged, incomplete, or visibly worn packaging.
