Terms of Use
1.Preamble
This document sets out the terms of use of the services provided through the search engine and the website located at www.acropoliscleaners.com (hereinafter the “Website”) by the company ATMOKATHARISTITIO ZACHARIAS IRAKLEOYS KAI YIOI LTD, with registration number HE 82483 and registered office at Filokti 7, 7101 Aradippou, Larnaca (hereinafter the “Company”), with Tax Identification Number 12082483Q and VAT Number 10082483O.
Lawful use of the services provided herein constitutes unconditional acceptance of the terms set out in this document and your compliance, when using these services, with the applicable legislation of the Republic of Cyprus governing such transactions. Acceptance of the terms herein shall not under any circumstances constitute the formation of any type of employment relationship, cooperation, or partnership with the Company.
The Company does not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted, or secure access to the Website’s services, as its operation may be affected by external factors beyond its control.
The operation of certain services on the Website is governed by supplementary terms which, where applicable, have been published herein and form an integral part of these Terms of Use.
2.Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes how the Company manages the data of users of its services. As described in the Privacy Policy, the collection and further processing of such data is necessary, both in the context of using the services provided by the Company and for other lawful purposes set out in our Privacy Policy.
The management and protection of the personal data of visitors, users, and members of the Website is governed by these Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy, and the relevant provisions of Cypriot and European legislation. In all cases, the Company reserves the right to amend the terms of personal data protection, within the framework of applicable legislation.
The Website also uses small text files (cookies), the operation and purposes of which are described in detail in our Cookies Policy.
The Website shall not under any circumstances delete the personal data of members, even if those members have been prohibited from using its services. Permanent deletion from the Website’s database may only occur where the member themselves requests it, subject to the principle of transactional security being maintained, in order to safeguard the reliability of the system.
Members who wish to obtain information about their personal data held by the Website, to be permanently deleted from the Website’s database, or to exercise any of their rights provided by law in accordance with the Privacy Policy, must submit a relevant request by sending an email to marketing@citrusandktma2.com from the email address with which they registered on the Website. The request must include their full name and telephone number, which must match the details registered in the Website’s database, for identification purposes
3.Access to the Website and Member Registration
A prerequisite for the participation of users and registered members of the Website and the use of the Company’s services is acceptance of these Terms of Use, which have been established in accordance with the applicable legislation of the Republic of Cyprus. In the event of a breach of any of these terms, the Company reserves the right to exclude users or delete members of the Website at any time. A user may register as a member of the Website by entering and confirming their email address and selecting a password.
The information provided by users to the Company or to other members, either during member registration or when posting on the Website’s forum, is defined as “personal details and information”. Such personal details and information must meet the following requirements:
- They must not be false, inaccurate, or misleading.
- They must not directly or indirectly lead to the deception of third parties or be aimed at the sale of items whose distribution is contrary to applicable legislation.
- They must not contravene provisions of applicable Cypriot and European legislation, including provisions relating to exports, consumer protection, unfair competition, discrimination or misleading advertising, protection of intellectual or industrial property, trade secrets, or personal rights.
- They must not contain viruses, trojans, worms, time bombs, or cancel bots, or any other program code that may cause intentional damage or result in data loss on members’/visitors’ computers or the system generally, nor must they lead to the loss of resources, services, or functions of the Website or the Company, in whole or in part, as related to our connection providers or other partners.
- They must not directly or indirectly refer to products or services that are expressly prohibited by these Terms.
In order to ensure the proper use of information provided by users to the Company and to avoid potential violations related to such content, we review and further process this information. The Company is committed to processing this information in accordance with these Terms of Use.
Access to and use of the Website’s services must be in accordance with these Terms of Use. The use of any method of monitoring the Website or copying part or all of its operational mechanism or content without the prior written permission of the Company is not permitted. In particular, the use of any program or other method of interfering with the Website’s operating mechanism or with any listing contained therein is prohibited. Any action that burdens or abusively uses the Website’s search engine and technological infrastructure is also prohibited. It is noted that a large part of the Website’s content belongs to members or partners of the Company and is used under licence. Accordingly, copying, modifying, paraphrasing, or republishing the Website’s content without prior written permission from the Company is prohibited.
The Company reserves the right to temporarily or permanently prohibit any Website user from using its services if, in the Company’s absolute discretion, that user does not comply with these Terms of Use or applicable legislation. The Company may exercise this right in cases of use of abusive or offensive language by the user towards Company employees, provision of incorrect registration details, or unauthorised use of payment methods. If a member’s use of the Website’s services is suspended or prohibited, that member may not re-register or use the Website’s services without the prior written consent of the Company.
4.Operation of the Service
The information transmitted by the Website to its users regarding products displayed therein by category is purely informational in nature and is continuously updated and amended, with a maximum update frequency of 2 hours (at the store’s discretion) or 24 hours in all other cases. The Company shall under no circumstances be liable for compensation or remedy for any direct or indirect loss, or actual or consequential damage, including future damage, that may arise as a result of such information.
The Website provides direct access to other websites and/or electronic addresses (where applicable), the content of which it is unable to intervene in and for which it therefore bears absolutely no responsibility and provides no guarantee whatsoever. Furthermore, the Website bears no responsibility for the accuracy and correctness of the information transmitted as above, as this information is located on other websites and is collected either from the manufacturers of those products or as information transmitted by the online stores offering them for sale.
The Company advises users of the Website to also consult the relevant product pages of online stores and manufacturers in order to verify the accuracy of the information received and to obtain more comprehensive information regarding the characteristics of their chosen product.
The display of search results (product – price – store) depends on the correct use of keywords and on the product description provided by online stores and the Website. In searches conducted using search filters rather than keywords, users should cross-reference the characteristics of the products displayed against those listed on the online stores’ and manufacturers’ pages.
It should be noted that many products available either from stores abroad or from domestic stores trading in products from abroad may differ in specifications from those intended for the Cypriot market, and in some cases may not be accompanied by instructions in Greek or Greek-language software.
It is clarified that the services provided by the Company to users involve significant technological, organisational, and other business costs for the Company. However, the Company has chosen not to pass these costs on to users, but rather to stores (where applicable), in accordance with specific and, as far as possible, fair monetary commission calculations, based on visits or purchases made by users on store websites following referral from the Website (where applicable). The correct and accurate calculation of the aforementioned commission constitutes a necessary economic element of users’ use of the Company’s services, within the framework of the contractual relationship created between the Company and users through the use of these services, in accordance with these terms and conditions. To this end, it is necessary, in order to service this transactional relationship and in accordance with the provisions of our agreement, for the Company to collect purchase data from users’ browsing of the Website and partner stores, including through technological solutions such as cookies.
5.Product Reviews
The Company enables users to review products displayed on the Website, using text, a rating, and/or the upload of a photograph and/or video. In order to be able to review a product, users must be registered on the Website.
The Company takes control measures to ensure that reviews displayed on the Website come from users who have actually purchased a product. To this end, reviews published on the Website must, whether negative or positive, necessarily relate to a transaction by a user who has previously purchased the product. In order to safeguard the reliability of reviews submitted by users in respect of products displayed through the Website, the Company and the Website’s administrators reserve the right to request further details from the user to confirm that the review in question originates from a verified product purchase. If, for any reason and for as long as a review cannot be matched to a verified purchase, that review shall be published but shall not be counted in the average rating of the relevant product. It is noted that the above process for verifying the origin of user reviews is independent of the process for managing the content of the review.
Each user has the right to review each product only once (1) per transaction.
By submitting text and/or uploading a photograph and/or video to the Website, the member grants the Company a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free licence to reproduce, modify, and publish the text, photograph, and/or video submitted to the Website. At the same time, by submitting text and/or uploading a photograph and/or video, the member consents to technical processing and formatting (e.g. cropping or application of “blurring” techniques) of the photograph and/or video, and to any other modification of the text prior to publication, by the Website’s administrators, in the event that the photograph, video, and/or review text violates the content posting rules set out below. In the event that such processing, formatting, or modification takes place, the Company will make the required changes with a view to immediate publication of the review and will subsequently notify the member of the actions taken, taking every care to preserve the substance of the review as far as possible. Equally, the above grant of a licence to the Company and consent to any type of technical processing, formatting, or other modification shall also apply in respect of any other image the member may submit to the Website.
The text of product reviews may briefly describe the member’s experience with the specific product and any observations or evaluative comments about it. The content of the review, as well as any photographs and/or video accompanying it, must be the intellectual property of the member and must not under any circumstances infringe the personal data of third parties, nor any intellectual or other rights of third parties. Members bear sole responsibility for the content, photographs, and videos they submit for posting on the Website. The Company reserves the right to withdraw and delete content/photographs/videos that do not comply with the Terms of Use.
In particular, the text of product reviews must not include:
- The posting of a link that directly or indirectly directs users to an online store (regardless of whether it is a store cooperating with the Company or not).
- Where applicable, any reference to a store (regardless of whether it is a store cooperating with the Company or not).
- Reference to the order processing and/or delivery process (regardless of whether the order was placed through the Website or not).
- The publication of information relating to the promotion or commercial advertising of any third party, other than lawful promotional activities organised and supervised by the Website’s administrators and the Company.
- The publication of information relating to the commercial advertising of any third party or transactions between members or between members and third parties.
- Reference to another user or to another member’s product review.
- Inappropriate or sarcastic expressions and characterisations.
- Content that directly or indirectly refers to software piracy.
- Attribution of fraudulent intent to stores.
- Any text unrelated to the review or the product.
Furthermore, in the case of the upload of a photograph and/or video accompanying product reviews, the following are not permitted:
- Depiction of identifiable individuals or other elements that may be considered personal data of the user or other persons.
- Inclusion of pornographic material.
- Promotion of the use of violence.
- Incitement to or facilitation of the commission of criminal acts.
- Offence to public decency (e.g. nudity, inappropriate gestures).
- Depiction of a product other than the one being reviewed.
- Indirect advertising of other products appearing in the photograph and/or video.
- Disclosure of political, religious, or other beliefs, or other personal data.
- Inclusion of any photograph/image/video that is unrelated, in the Company’s sole discretion, to the review or the product.
In particular, in the case of the upload of a video by a user with the aim of presenting more extensively the features of a product in their possession to other users, the content of the video must focus exclusively on one product (and/or accompanying products), on capturing the user’s experience with it, and on any observations, usage tips, or evaluative comments about the product.
It is noted that reviews bearing the special marking “Verified Purchase” enable users to easily identify reviews submitted by other users who have actually purchased or used the product in accordance with the Company’s internal checks. Reviews that do not bear the “Verified Purchase” label relate to reviews for which we cannot confirm that the product was actually purchased or used by the user who submitted the relevant review. In all cases, it is noted that only reviews originating from a verified purchase, whether positive or negative, are taken into account in calculating the average rating of each product.
6.Final Provisions
The intellectual property rights of the Website belong to the Company. Republication, reproduction, in whole, in part, or in summary, or by paraphrase or adaptation of the Website’s content in any form, whether electronic, mechanical, or photographic, without prior written permission is prohibited.
In no circumstances shall the Company, its legal representatives, or its employees be liable for any damage, actual or consequential, that members may suffer as a result of using the services provided, caused directly or indirectly by the acts or omissions of other members.
In the event that any dispute arises between members of the Website concerning the use of its services in breach of these Terms of Use, it is agreed that the Company, its personnel, and its partners shall bear no liability whatsoever.
The services provided through the Website, including simple searching or creating a member account, are not directed at persons under the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18, you must not use the Website or provide us with any personal data without the necessary authorisation of a parent or guardian. The Company does not knowingly collect or further process data relating to persons under the age of 18. In all cases, for any dispute that may arise between the Company and visitors or members of the Website, the Courts of the Republic of Cyprus shall have jurisdiction and the law of the Republic of Cyprus shall apply.
